Girls faces isolation and a sense of powerlessness today in the world especially in Sierra Leone. Emotionally isolated by silence – not just their own silence, but their communities’ silence towards early marriage, early childbirth, sexual violence, HIV/AIDS and other results of girls’ social and economic vulnerability. The Theme will covers issues as health, democracy, post conflict reconstruction, women’s issues, Information technology, adult literacy, good governance and community development. This conference will show the way forward on empowering the girl child, aiming to change the status and breed a more holistic image of Sierra Leone to the International community.
